Introduction

This article summarises the main features included in each Energy licence (Entry, Advanced and Ultimate), and how they affect what you can do on the platform. The sections below describe the available functionalities per licence, but the access assigned can also vary depending on the user type in Spacewell Energy (roles and permissions), as explained in this article: What is a user in Spacewell Energy?

Energy Licence Features Overview

The Energy product is structured in three licence levels: Entry, Advanced and Ultimate. Each level builds on the previous one, adding more advanced analysis, visualisation, and automation capabilities.

  • Entry: Focused on basic account configuration, visualisation, and reporting.

  • Advanced: Adds extended analytics, visualisation types and some advanced apps.

  • Ultimate: Unlocks all analytics, AI modules and no aggregation limits on devices and dashboards.

These tiers centralise benefits for efficient energy management, from basic monitoring to advanced AI-driven optimisation. The following details key functionalities per level, structured by main sections.

Account Management

Entry provides core account setup including locations, users, and basic apps from the market. Advanced and Ultimate add branding options like white labelling, custom domains, and logos. All tiers support market apps and API access tokens for calls.

Dashboards

Basic widgets for detection and financials appear in Entry and Advanced, while Ultimate unlocks Measurement and Verification (M&V), raw analysis, and Analytics, derived widgets like by parameter or project M&V. No aggregation limits apply to dynamic dashboards in Advanced and Ultimate. Inputs support plain text and linked images across tiers, with Ultimate enabling Microgrid and Demand load widgets.

Analytics and Visualisations

Analytics features such as by parameter, project M&V, reference device, demand load, and contracted load (without comparison in Entry) scale up: Entry covers basics, Advanced adds Microgrid, and Ultimate provides full access with no device limits. Visualisations include KPI, line, column, pie, table, and more advanced like heat maps and multi-device heatmaps in Advanced and Ultimate.

Additional Features

Apps market includes carbon emissions and operating hours in all tiers, with Ultimate adding microgrid presets, M&V projects, and automatic baseline calculators. Reports offer standard templates in Entry, expanding to custom and apps market in higher tiers; alerts and IA tools like Optimise and Forecast appear in Advanced and Ultimate. Optimise, Detect IA, and API for POST apps creation enhance Ultimate capabilities.

Changing your licence

To change your licence (for example, from Entry to Advanced or Ultimate), customers can contact the Support team or their main point of contact at Spacewell Energy (such as the assigned CSM), who will help assess their needs and manage the licence upgrade accordingly.
