What is an IntelliSense xserver.iot.200?
The IntelliSense xserver.iot.200 is a gateway that can easily transfer data from field devices to Cloud and SQL server applications. Field devices include meters, sensors, PLCs and other devices that communicate using the REST API and Modbus Protocol.
It communicates with the platform through HTTP protocol.

How to add an IntelliSense xserver.iot.200 in the platform
The IntelliSense xserver.iot.200 is integrated with the Platform, so to communicate the gateway with the platform is easy and quick.
To start receiving data you just have to follow the next steps:
- Login to the EMS with your user and password.
- Go to the Settings section:
- On the left menu select Gateways and click on Register a new gateway:
- Select Virtual Gateway:
- Write the name, the key and the time zone of your gateway:
How to configure the IntelliSense xserver.iot.200 to start sending data to the platform
You should have the following items ready before beginning the process:
- Energy Management Platform access
- Install Iot Explorer from Microsoft Store or IntelliSense website (more details)
- Install Dexma extension (DEXMAJSONInsertionAPI) to Xserver.IoT
1. Install DEXMA extension to Xserver.IoT
Installation requirements:
- Required Xserver.IoT firmware, minimum version: 11.0.34
- Required IoT Explorer, minimum version: 11.0.30
a) Run IoT Explorer and login to the Xserver.IoT.200 with local connection (IoT Explorer automatically detects devices on the local network)
Default username and password: admin, admin
b) Download DEXMA extension (DEXMAJSONInsertionAPI)
c) Configure service access, add User group and User and assigning permissions
User name: onboardtask, Password: onboardtask
After added the user, you have to click “Apply changes to services” button.
d) Install DEXMAJSONInsertionAPI
e) Configure connection to DEXMA EM Platform
Connection string: {"GatewayKey":"xxxx","GatewayToken":"yyyyy","DensityMaxFreq":15,"Debug":false} Debug mode: If you set the Debug parameter to true, the connection information is shown in the Properties field.
NOTE: the gateway key is the one you have written when you have registered the Virtual Gateway. The Gateway token is given for the platform once you register the gateway.
After changing the config parameter, you have to restart the service as follows:
2. Logging energy meter(s) to the EM Platform
a) Add template device(s)
NOTE: The Quantity name must be the same as the name in the parameter list of the EM Platform (case sensitive).

Set the quantity log settings:
NOTE: The EMS Platform supports log with a maximum data density of 15 minutes
b) Add Source(s) and Click “Apply changes to services” button
