Adding a Schneider EGX300 to Energy Management Platform
The Energy Management Platform is compatible with the Schneider EGX300. In order to start receiving data to your account from your EGX300 follow these steps:
- In the upper right corner of your main page select "Settings ":
- Once in the Settings page select Gateways:
- Select "Register a new gateway":
- Select EGX300 and click "Next" :
- Choose a name for your EGX300 device:
- Log into the EGX web interface and select setup. Once inside setup, choose device log export.
- Select:
- Transport: FTP, Incremental
- Schedule: Hourly
- FTP Parameters:
- IP 104.155.73.171 (use this one!!) (ftp.source.dexma.com)
- Username and password (obtained from the platform, check step 5)
- Passive: Selected:
- To ensure that the FTP files are readable for the EM Platform please set the EGX300 language to English. Other languages may cause problems.
#Note: Previous Firmware versions allowed the configuration of the TCP Port to 21 (the one used by the EMS). Currently, the EGX uses by default the port 20 (it does not allow data to be sent to the platform). In order to ensure data insertion, you should select the option Passive in the configuration, which will allow the correct port to be used.
#Note: For devices compatibility, please ask our support team
#Note: Every .CSV file sent to EM Platform will be parsed following these keys:
DEVICE ID:
It will be the .CSV file name, but only UNTIL the first UNDERSCORE found.
example:
if the .CSV file name is:
“My 00001 file from an EGX300 AABBCC fgh_1_20170405070000.csv”
Device ID in EM Platform will be:
“My 00001 file from an EGX300 AABBCC fgh”
STANDARD TAGS:
TAGS are the names put in the column title from each parameter data series. In the following list the left column is the name that have to be put in the column title of each data serie to be imported. The right column explains how this data will be inserted in the Platform:

Configuring a Schneider EGX300 to send through a proxy
In case you have a proxy in your network, follow these steps to configure correctly your Schneider EGX300 to successfully send data to the Energy Management Platform.
Important: To enable the option of sending data through a proxy, please update the EGX300 version to FW4.380. In this link you will find the drivers.
This solution is only available for the regular proxy. If the proxy requires authentication, then contact with support.
Once inside your EGX300, go to "setup" and choose "device log export". This is how normally looks like:
- Server IP Address Field
- Instead of entering the destination IP address, enter the IP address of the proxy that you will be using.
- If you do not know the Proxy IP, open the command line and use the “Ping” command to find the IP.
- TCP Port field: To complete the "TCP port" field, you can ask your IT department for your proxy port. Normally by default, you can try with the port 80. It might happen that you cannot configure the TCP port.
- Username field: In the USERNAME FIELD the configuration is as follows
- USERNAME@DESTINATIONIP
- USERNAME@ANON@DESTINATIONIP (In case you use an anonymous proxy)
- Password Field
- In most cases you will enter the password just as you normally would.
- If you are using and ANONYMOUS PROXY, the syntax is PASSWORD@ANON
- Ex. We2TE3@ANON
At a maximum, the EGX300 allows 31 characters in the input for User/pass
You can test the configuration from the command line.
Example of configuration for EGX300 using a proxy:
- Proxy port: 158.52.19.12
- Proxy server: 80
- FTP server: ftp.source.dexma.com (104.155.73.171)
- FTP port: 21
- FTP User: myuser
- FTP Password: mypass
#Note: It might happen that your Firmware version does not allow you to choose a port. In case it is like this, select the option Passive, at the end of the configuration.
Adding a Schneider Com'X 510 to the Energy Management Platform
The EM Platform is compatible with the Schneider Com'X 510. In order to start receiving data to your account from your Com'X 510 follow these steps:
- In the upper right corner of your main page select "Settings ":
- Once in the Settings page select Gateways:
- Select "Register a new gateway":
- Select Com'X 510 and click "Next" :
- Choose a name for your Com'X 510 device and select "Schneider COMX 510" file format:
- Log into the Com'X 510 web interface and select Settings. Once inside Settings choose Publication.
- Select the following configuration:
- Destination platform: CSV export
- Publication Frequency: every hour
- Protocol: FTP
- Server: ftp.source.dexma.com
- Port: 21
- User Login and Password: your username and password from the step 5
- Directory: leave this Empty
- Compression Activated: NO
- Field separator: Comma
- Decimal separator: Dot
- Date format: YYYY-MM-DD
